Oneiric Ocelot doesn’t suck

I just obliterated my Ubuntu 10.10 partition with the help of my new Ubuntu 11.10 LiveCD. The experience was actually really nice!

I had an hour to mess around in the OS while gparted crunched… and to my surprise, I found it to be polished and intuitive.  I know! Unity!

Turns out that Unity is actually pretty great if you like a hotkey-centric workflow (check). Performance of the LiveCD was a little chuggy, but I’m sure gparted was taking its bite.

I think I’m going to wubi this distro. Yeah, I said it.
